Cannizaro House

The design brief for this job was to translate the naughty but nice personality of Cannizaro House into three of the hotel suites.
The Georgian hotel overlooks Cannizaro Park in Wimbledon, and was built by an Italian Count for his illicit young British lover. Thus, each of the three rooms took on a personalities known to have had a twinkle in their eye, inkeeping with the very nature of the hotels creation.
Our inspiration came initially from Oscar Wilde, a once resident of the hotel. And in turn were inspired by his own aesthetic artisitic tendencies, enthused by the Japanese art of the time, to create a room hoping to embody the spirit of a Geisha. Our third suite took on the very feminine character of Marie Antoinette.
